Joint Voice Standard Operating Procedure

Beginning January 1, 2008 all MARS nets will operate using the same standard operating procedures.

The Joint Voice Standard Operating Procedure was developed in less than six months by a dedicated team of volunteers from each of the MARS services.

The Joint Voice SOP marks a change in the way Navy Marine Corps MARS net are conducted.  The biggest advantage is that all three services will be operating the same way for the first time.  These standardized procedures go a long way toward furthering the goal of accurate rapid communications.

The new Joint Voice SOP was announced in CHNAVMARCORMARS BCST 07-07  and CHNAVMARCORMARS INFO BCST 45-07.
